Acado decided to take us on a ride through Berlin influenced downtempo with Indian touch. The title track "Shivaya" features the traditional Indian Ghatam drum, playing along a driving syncopatic bassline, playful bells and one of the most popular Hindu mantras "Om Namah Shivaya". The second track "Govinda" brings on a whole Indian ensemble including instruments like Tabla, Dhol or Tanpura into a more technoid vibe.
In each of the two remixes by Zuma Dionys and Baba Sikander, vocals of the original play an interesting role. Both artists give them a complete new character and create a great musical story in which they fit them charmingly. Zuma Dionys goes for a more grooving, playful approach of Govinda, while Baba Sikander brings out some sweet slow acid potentials of Shivaya.
